HARVESTING

Various products can be harvested form baobab like leaves, fruits and bulk.

Leaves: They are used as relish and as herbal drug

Bulk: The bulk is used as a drug or as raw material for making mats

Fruits: A mature fruit have a brown shell and fruits are filled with a white, powdery pulp and the seeds become hard. In Malawi this happens starting from month of May.

• Harvest fruit by hand picking, clipping with a hook mounted on a stick.
