SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Take off shoes when breaking baobab

Make sure that you are not suffering from any of the following disorders:

  1. Influenza
  2. Diarrhoea or Dysentry
  3. Vomiting
  4. Skin diseases e.g. Scabies
  5. Eye disorders
  6. Ear disorders
  7. Dizziness
  8. Coughing of any kind
  9. Liver disorder
  10. Any communicable disease.

Other precautions

  • Do not put on strong perfume or lotion with strong smell
  • Do not use soap with strong smell (bathing or washing)
  • Do not put on watches, wedding rings, ear rings and any other ring
  • Put clothes with no buttons e.g. T-shirts
  • Put phones away from the working area
  • Do not put on necklaces, bungles etc.

Storage

  • Keep the pulp in clean bags and at a cool dry place
  • Keep the bags away from the wall (50 cm) and on pallets or poles
  • The storage place should be well secured to protect the pulp from animals and thieves.
