Hive site selection

• Beehives should be hung near water, food, flowers (pollen, Nectar) and shade. Where this is not available naturally the farmer can provide it.
• Beehives should be place at least 100m away from dwelling place and public places
• Beehives should be hung at a good and secured place
• Beehives should be placed at a distance of 5 meters apart
• Should be well protected from preying insects and wild animals.

Make sure the door faces opposite the prevailing winds.
