Good housing is important since:

• They control parasites and diseases that attack goats
• The house protects goats from rain, wind and very hot sunlight
• They protect goats from theft and predators
• They facilitate easy collection of droppings for manure processing

Site Selection for House Construction

Site selection should be based on the following criteria:

1. The house should be constructed close to dwelling house to avoid theft
2. Construct on windward side to avoid foul smell
3. Should be sited on land with a slight slope to enable some effective drainage
4. Should not be constructed at a bushy area to avoid attacks by wild animals
