Importance of selling livestock in associations

• In the rural communities goats are usually sold through informal marketing systems hence fetch low prices for the livestock keepers
• It is important to sell goats as a group to institutions and companies as it minimizes logistical costs
• Avoid panic selling of livestock; as such diversify to other crops which can become handy in times of need. Have some other income generating activities like growing other crops, VSLs and other activities
