Pests

• Aphids can primarily be controlled by correct spacing and early planting.

• Keep groundnut fields free of weeds and clearing the bushes around groundnut fields minimize pest attack.

• Aphids can be controlled by early planting at optimum densities and removing and destroying affected groundnut plants.

• White Grubs can be controlled by crop rotation and avoiding virgin lands.

• Leaf miners can be controlled by keeping fields free of weeds and destroying crop residues.

• Elagant grasshoppers can be controlled by chemical spraying with recommended chemicals and hand picking.
